What's this about?

So I thought it might be easier to just post a quick blog introducing Amy and I. We would like to make the trip, I'm really interested in the film school and Amy would just like to climb and do the safari.

Please look over the posts below and see some film samples....which will hopefully show that I'm in desperate need of instruction.

I'm Chris Baggott

My favorite outdoor activity is kayaking. I've been paddling since I was 13 and had my first guide job on the Cheat River in West Virginia at 14.

We still paddle as much as we can...usually about 30 days a year.

We spend most of our time in Ohiopyle PA. This is an interesting town and a great river. Another story I'm working on is how this town was taken over by the Government and made a park back in the 60's for nearly two generations there was a split between the people who's families have lived there forever and the more recent, tourist driven residents. For most of the past 40 years there has been outright hostility which has been really detrimental to the entire community as well as the economic opportuintiy lost.

Things are changing now with this a new generation of kids who all just want to paddle. My kids are part of this movement and I'm really interested in telling this story about how these kids and their success on the water is bringing the town together...to the mutual benefit of all.

So this is Amy

So this is Amy my wife. She's the mother of 4 and active in most of the normal community and shool activities that makes a joke out of the term 'homemaker'.

She's going to be the subject of my film.

This was taken in Buena Vista CO two years ago.

I don't want to say she is a reluctant adventurer...just someone who was brought up to avoid potentially dangerous situations at all costs. In spite of that, in the 17 years we've been married she's Climbed a 14er, paddled class 4 rapids, skied over her head on many occasions and of course Mt. Biked in Colorado.

She really wants to be a great role model for our kids and show them that life is long and continually opens new opportunity.
